Bri Sabovitch Obituary, Kawartha Lakes, ON Death – beloved Resident Has Died

The Bobcaygeon and Kawartha Lakes communities are mourning the heartbreaking loss of Briannah “Bri” Sabovitch, a 16-year-old whose life was tragically cut short following a fatal motor vehicle collision on May 30, 2026.

Bri, born on September 18, 2009, is being remembered as a bright, vibrant, and deeply loved young person whose passing has left family members, friends, classmates, and community residents devastated. Her sudden death has created an overwhelming sense of grief throughout the community as loved ones struggle to process the loss of a life filled with promise, kindness, and youthful spirit.

According to reports, the tragic collision occurred shortly before 8:30 p.m. at the intersection of County Road 49 and Burys Green Road in Bobcaygeon. Emergency crews responded quickly following reports of a two-vehicle crash. Authorities later confirmed that Bri, who was driving one of the vehicles, was pronounced deceased at the scene.

A passenger traveling in the vehicle sustained serious injuries and was transported to a hospital before being airlifted to a Toronto trauma centre with life-threatening injuries. The Ontario Provincial Police continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the collision.
