According to the Corpus Christi Police Department, officers responded around 1:41 a.m. to the 4600 block of Everhart Road following reports of a stabbing. Upon arriving, officers learned that two victims had already been taken to a local hospital for treatment. Despite medical efforts, Hugo Briseno later died from his injuries. Detectives with the department’s Robbery/Homicide Unit continue to investigate the case. Briseno’s death has left family members, friends, and the wider community devastated. At only 19 years old, he had much of his life ahead of him, making the loss especially difficult for those who knew and cared about him. Loved ones are remembering Hugo for the person he was, the friendships he built, and the memories he shared with others. Many are choosing to focus on his life and character rather than the tragic circumstances surrounding his death. As authorities continue their investigation, family and friends are leaning on one another for support while honoring his memory. Community members have also expressed their condolences and support for the Briseno family during this painful time. Though his life was cut short, Hugo Briseno’s memory will remain in the hearts of those who loved him and will not be forgotten.
