A Sandy, Oregon man has been charged in connection with a deadly domestic violence-related shooting that resulted in three fatalities and left a police officer seriously injured.

Authorities say 38-year-old Bryan Andrew Moore was taken into custody Sunday evening after a prolonged standoff with law enforcement. He is currently being held at the Clackamas County Jail and faces numerous charges, including three counts of second-degree murder, attempted aggravated murder, first-degree kidnapping, assault, and unlawful possession of a firearm.

According to investigators, Moore is accused of fatally shooting Jenna Mary Overson, Mary Beth Overson, and Kobyn McClure at a residence located in the 39500 block of Evans Street. Officials have described the incident as a tragic case of domestic violence that escalated into deadly violence.

The Sandy Police Department and the Clackamas County Sheriff’s Office responded to reports of a disturbance and gunfire shortly before 4:00 p.m. on May 31. Upon arriving at the scene, officers reportedly came under fire. One officer suffered multiple gunshot wounds and was transported by air ambulance to a nearby hospital. Authorities later reported that the officer is expected to recover.

A shelter-in-place order was issued for nearby residents as law enforcement worked to contain the situation. The standoff lasted several hours before Moore surrendered peacefully just before 8:00 p.m., bringing the incident to an end.

In the days following the tragedy, social media posts shared by Jenna Overson have received widespread attention. Earlier posts portrayed Moore as a caring partner and father figure to her children. However, one message posted shortly before her death discussed heartbreak, healing, and recognizing personal worth after experiencing emotional pain. Many people following the case have since reflected on the significance of those words.

The tragedy has left several families grieving and facing difficult challenges ahead. Loved ones have established an online fundraiser to support Jenna Overson’s three young sons, ages 10, 8, and 3. The funds are intended to help with counseling services, daily expenses, and future needs as they cope with the devastating loss of their mother.

A separate fundraising effort has also been organized to assist with funeral expenses and provide support for the family and loved ones of Kobyn McClure.

Law enforcement officials continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the incident and are gathering additional evidence as the case moves forward through the legal process.
