Michael Jaylen Coleman, a 28-year-old resident of Duncan, South Carolina, died Wednesday night after a single-vehicle crash in Greenville County, according to the Greenville County Coroner’s Office.

Authorities said the accident happened around 9:25 p.m. on June 2 near the intersection of East Main Street and Wade Hampton Boulevard in the Greer area. Emergency crews responded to reports of the crash and found Coleman, who was the only person in the vehicle. He was pronounced dead at the scene despite lifesaving efforts.

Officials stated that Coleman suffered fatal blunt force trauma injuries, and his death has been ruled accidental. An external examination was scheduled as part of the ongoing investigation.
